The CHA is pleased to inform its members of the shortlist for the 2013 Sir John A. Macdonald Prize. The Macdonald Prize is given to the non-fiction work of Canadian history, published in 2012, judged to have made the most significant contribution to the understanding of the Canadian past. The prize, sponsored by Manulife Financial in the amount of $5,000, will be awarded at the association’s annual general meeting at the University of Victoria on Tuesday, June 2, 2013. This year’s shortlisted books are :
La Société historique du Canada est heureuse d’annoncer à ces membres la liste courte des livres en lice pour le prix Sir John A. Macdonald 2013. Le prix est remis à l’ouvrage en histoire du Canada, publié en 2012, jugé comme apportant la contribution la plus significative à la compréhension du passé canadien. Le prix, parrainé par la Financière Manuvie au montant de 5 000 $, sera remis à la Réunion annuelle de la Société à l’Université de Victoria le mardi 2 juin 2013. Les livres en lice sont :
